Mailing List

I decided to go with a Kent's Camera Castle Sale, and chose a celebratory email subject title. I felt that the subject title was enough to capture the customer's attention, so I left it the same for almost all rounds.

In Round 5, I used my own name and address thinking that it would seem more authentic and less of a spam mail, but it did not make much of a difference

For all 10 rounds, I chose the Default List of 11,492 email addresses. I received a heads up from my friend that the other two lists didn't help them, so I avoided choosing those.

It also made sense to me to choose the Default List, for it had a way larger number of recipients. As I was sending out emails on sales and featured product, there wasn't really a need to target subscribers or current customers, because who doesnt like a good deal?

For Round 10, I chose a single column template as I found it sufficient based on previous rounds

In Round 5, I actually selected the 1:2 column template, to see if it would boost the campaign. It did not affect the number of email clicks, and the single templates I used for Round 6 and 10 fared better! Not only that, but the extra headers I had to pay for meant I had to allocate more budget to the Email Campaign.

I wanted my emails to seem personalized and lively, so I made sure to include "you".

I linked both headers to my bestselling cameras, the Nikon D5500 and Canon Rebel t7i.

Like in my Ad descriptions and Landing Pages, I kept pushing our sales, - "10% discount" and "free delivery"

I tried to keep each column to two lines, as I read from a blog that its the optimum length.

Personally, I thought that the Email Marketing campaign was fun, but I must admit it was one of the harder bits of the Mimic Pro simulation for me. It's mainly due to the lack of feedback, for I would have to figure out where I went wrong through trial and error. If I could change one thing, I would've gone back and attempted the Email campaign for every single round, rather than just when I was told to, so I can experiment more!
