When I did my ads, I found that this format brought me the most Impressions and Clicks.
I put sales in the description, as well as call-to-actions such as "Buy now online". All these phrases can be found in each product's landing page too.

The product URL should link to the product itself, and the Header should be the product name
I did two ads for the Canon Rebel t4i, just to experiment with keywords. For one ad, I included the keyword "Camera" in both the headline and description, while for the other, I did not include the keyword at all. There was a HUGE gap between the impressions!

Keywords
I bid on keywords with a high number of monthly searches and lower competition. It is effective to revise on which keywords bring the most clicks round after round. I also bid on product names different from the product I'm selling, for it increases exposure to similar audiences.
There were two instances where this helped to boost my Ads.
In this case, I bid on the keyword nikon d7000 even though that was not the model I was selling. It ended up generating higher conversions than the actual product keyword.

For this camera model Canon Rebel t4i in particular, I could not find it's name in the keyword list. Thus, I bid on Canon 600d.
The keyword "Canon 600d" brought me 2k in profits, and had a conversion rate of 5.30%
